How to Meditate

So you don’t need to try and control your mind, just sit there and observe.
Whatever arises, you don’t need to feel good about it, or bad about it. You just need to observe it.
And, feelings like that (feeling good or bad about something) may come up, but you just need to observe it.
If you think about your taxes the whole time, it doesn’t matter what you’re thinking about, just observe it.
Because eventually, your mind just quiets down. You just sit there, and observe everything.
It’s incredibly simple.
And eventually, if you keep doing that, like over and over again, you’ll just naturally end up in a centered place.
Once you’ve experienced that centeredness, you can start to know what it feels like, and get there more quickly.
And the only thing I would add: is that if you haven’t felt that centeredness yet, you just have to wait. You haven’t sat for long enough, and just have to be patient.
The act of observing is what meditation is.
